Our Favorite Feature:

Our favorite feature was the free e-mail notifications. These notifications allowed us to see when a particular visitor came to our website. So, for example, if we had a hacker or other trouble maker who continued to cause problems, we could be alerted via e-mail every time that person visited. We could also be notified whenever anyone tried to attack our site, even if we had not already targeted him for alerts.

The 3DStats Experience:

3DStats answers the basic question, 'who is visiting my site?' and 'what are my visitors doing while on my site?' The answers to these basic questions can help you improve your website performance.

3DStats can give you accurate site evaluations in real time. Not only did it provide us with numbers, comparison and statistics, it also gave us a detailed profiling of our visitors. In addition 3DStats was also able to monitor our advertising campaigns and tracked requests and orders of our products.

One of the things we liked best about 3DStats was the fact that we didn’t need to install any software. We only needed to subscribe to their services (which start at a low $9.95 per month). At their site, we could watch an online real time demo that took us to a sample account and allowed us to see what we would get from their service.

3DStats provides you with unique visitors and page views by the hour, week and/or month. You also get a quick comparison chart of your best days of traffic. A list of visitors, together with their hostname and country of origin would also be displayed. You can also check on your top keywords, returning visitors, top referrers, and search engine traffic.

The application itself is fairly easy to navigate. There were a number of options that we could click on and drop down menus to give us more choices. Overall we have to say they were one of the most comprehensive and user-friendly stats and analytics providers we came across.

3DStats Customer Service:

If you run into a question using the 3DStats service you can browse the FAQs and if no answer is available, contact the company via email. When we sent in an email inquiry we received a next-day response, which was pretty much standard in the sites we researched.

Upside:

Real-time traffic stats, password protected reports, you can pay via Paypal.

Downside:

They charge from the very first page view. Most of their competitors allow you to have a few hundred thousand page views per month, before you have to pay.
