American Express Simply Cash Star Rating

The American Express Simply Cash Business Credit Card is, as you might expect, a cash reward card. Instead of getting bonus points you get real money rebates as a reward for making all of your business purchases on your shiny new plastic. There are several similar business credit cards available so is this the best business credit card for you?

At first glance this is a very strong contender in the field. The 5% rebate available on office supplies, auto gasoline and wireless services is the highest we have seen in all our business credit card reviews. Unlike some cards you get that 5% right away rather than earning it after spending up to a certain limit. The same is true for the 1% rebate on all other business purchases.

So that’s fantastic right? It is, but keep in mind that supermarkets and warehouse clubs are exempt from the offer. With that said, this credit card has all-around good features such as modest APR and allows you access to the great list of perks available to all American Express Cardholders. All told, this is a flexible card with a great reward scheme but you do need a very solid credit history to get it.

Online User-Friendliness
It’s easy to apply online. You can get an instant decision. American Express' website is very user friendly and gives you access to forums and business advice. You can manage your AMEX account online to keep up with payments and generate expenditure reports for your accounts.

This credit card has absolutely no annual fee and is therefore a great way to get access to the American Express ‘Open’ business community at no cost! ‘Open’ gives you business advice and access to discounts on travel, car-hire and other business expenses.

Customer Support

American Express provides 24 hour lost and stolen and 24 hour fraud help line phone numbers. Card members also have access to a 24hr customer service help line and online assistance in the form of email, FAQ’s, advice boards and forums. The help lines are generally very easy to access and the staff is trained to a high level of customer service. American Express does a lot to make you feel like part of their club. They respond very quickly to complaints and try to make all cardholders feel like valued customers.
