In recent years, online people finder services have evolved into online people research services. In addition to locating people you've lost contact with, you can also get the dirt on people you now know. From background checks to marriage and divorce records, today's people finder services offer it all. Abika.com is a perfect example of how far these websites have become. Our Favorite Feature:

We really can't pick just one. Our favorite thing about the site had to be its amazing selection of searches available. It offered more people finder and research services than any of the other sites we had visited. From tracking the IP of an email address to getting asset and income information, Abika was truly a one-stop information shop.

The Abika.com Experience:

The first thing out of our mouths when we hit the Abika.com website was "Holy cow!" We could not believe the wealth of information the website offered. It almost made us a bit uncomfortable, thinking people could actually get all of that dirt on us if they wanted. From income and asset verification to tracking our email addresses, there's no hiding when Abika is on the prowl.

The sheer amount of searches available proved to be a little overwhelming at first. We didn't know where to begin. We decided we'd be safe and go with a basic find/locate search. It appears that Abika's locater search is powered by Intelius, which is a common practice of the better online people finder services.

But Intelius doesn't provide all of Abika's searches. In fact, we wonder where the company gets some of this information. It's almost like they have a spy in every American household. You can even get psychological profiles on people! How scary is that?

We couldn't figure out whether we loved or hated this site. If you want information on someone, it's a great place to be. If, on the other hand, you are the private type who doesn't like your laundry out in the open for everyone to see, Abika might be your worst enemy.

Abika.com Customer Service:

Abika offers customer service via phone and an online support form as well as a comprehensive online knowledge base. Phone support proved to be very fast. We had very little hold time at all and the rep we spoke with was very friendly and helpful. She assured us that all of the site's searches are legal (because we were starting to wonder when we saw how much dirt we could dig up on a person) and she explained what a valuable service Abika is offering its customers. We couldn't agree more.

Upside:

Amazing amount of searches to choose from, great customer service, easy-to-use website.

Downside:

Some of the site's search services are quite pricey.
