This is a no frills Platinum business card but that’s no reason to dismiss it. It could be the best business credit card for you if you’re just interested in a good APR and the usual cluster of associated Platinum perks.

The 12 months 0% APR on purchases is great for people looking for a quick boost to their spending power that can be repaid over time. After that the 14.24% variable rate shouldn’t scare you off renewing your account. It’s a very advantageous card for ‘Surfers’ that is people who want to transfer an existing debt onto the card to get 12 months 0% APR. You can get charged up to a maximum $50 to do that but even so it’s a very competitive offer.

14.24% is also the APR you get on your cash advances. This is lower than most of the rates in our business credit card reviews and it makes the Advanta Platinum Business card a real flexible piece of plastic.

To top it all off you get your business name printed in large silver letters across the top of the card which, let’s face it, looks really cool when you’re entertaining prospective clients on the company.

User-Friendliness:
Advanta's website is a bit under developed compared to some competitors but it does the job well enough. It’s easy to apply for a card and you can track your application process online while you wait for a decision. A lot of actions can be done online including balance transfers, adding employee cardholders and even increasing your line of credit. You can also track your credit, generate expenses reports and make payments.

StarReviews' Favorite Feature: 0% on Balance transfers for the first 12 months. It’s hard to beat.

Customer Support

Advanta's customer support was not as good as some of their competitors were. The customer service line is six days a week and it is not 24hours, however it was accessible and helpful. The emergency lost and stolen phone line is available 24 hours and it is very responsive. Advanta's online support is basic..it is just an inquiry form and not much else.

Star Reviews didn't find anything particularly wrong with Advanta's support, it was just that their competitors are going the extra mile offering 24 hours care and more online account features.

Upside:

APR is based on the highest prime rate during a 90 day period – Customer support needs improvement

Advanta Bank credit cards are suitable for the small business owners. They offer the credit cards at low interest rates. They also provide for very good balance transfer facility to their cardholders. Just like all the other major credit card companies, Advanta Bank also offers on few of their credit cards a choice to earn reward points or cash rebates.
There is no annual fee for both the main cardholder and the business cardholders. The apr is at prime rate plus 5.99%. You get an introductory 0% APR for 12 months on both purchases and balance transfers.

Advanta offers for online account management, and detailed expense reports. The credit line on this card is $50,000.

All in all a very appealing card for small business owners.

I give 5 star rating.
