Webroot launched its newest SpySweeper anti-spyware software, which provides sound protection against all malware, including rootkit spyware. We had to check it out.
First of all, we liked that there were three scanning choices: full scan, quick scan and a scan you can optimize and exlude folders from.

Star Reviews must make mention of the unlimited tech support that accompanies the full version of SpySweeper. There is also a solid, 30-day guarantee on this product, should you decide it's not for you. The full version is available at the reasonable price of $29.95 for a one-year subscription. We appreciated the possibility of adding the Anti-Virus edition for only $10.00. Who doesn’t like a good deal? All in all, Star Reviews felt they deserved 6.0 Stars!

When we examined the CA Anti-Spyware software, we found some pretty great features and pricing options for you to check out.
We admired how user-friendly the spyware removal software's interface was, with all essential features offered right on the welcome screen.
When we scanned our system in hopes of avoiding any nasty surprises, we appreciated the clear threat-level indicators for found items. However, we did notice two instances of the same malware pop up in separate scans, leaving us a little concerned.

Our team likes that CA Anti-Spyware allows you to remove spyware from 3 computers with the same license! You can protect your home computer, work laptop and even your kid’s private computer with the same anti-spyware software license. What a deal. CA provides an excellent software program, but due to the lack of free support we can only give them 5.0 stars.

 When we looked at the anti-spyware software provided by CounterSpy, we noted they not only boast solid real-time protection, but also protect your privacy when surfing the Internet. Using the anti-spyware software is an elementary experience, from installing the application to running our first scan. The beginner user will likely stay away from the advanced system tools settings, but otherwise the welcome screen is extremely detailed and straightforward.

Our team appreciated the newly added rootkit spyware protection feature, which should definitely clear up some nasty PC headaches. As soon as the program opened, we noticed how intuitive it was, letting us analyze our latest scan and verify if system security areas needed our attention. We liked how the anti-spyware software from CounterSpy updated itself upon opening. How convenient!
CounterSpy is a noteworthy anti-spyware software with excellent customer support. The price is good, anti-spyware features are powerful, and you can’t help but feel a little bit safer when you see the Counterspy icon in your system tray. CounterSpy anti-spyware software is also Vista ready for those of you using the new OS. They receive 5.0 Stars overall.

When we came across the CyberDefender anti-spyware software product, we thought we'd give it a test run. It turned out to be very user-friendly, while still boasting common features as some of the 'bigger' names in spyware protection out there.
We really appreciated how CyberDefender provides a free version of their software product, although it contains ads. If you opt to skip the ads and purchase a 1-year license, it will cost you $29.99, which is pretty comparable to their competition's rates.

Star Reviews liked alot of features on this product, including the earlySCAM protection feature, which prevents you from entering malicious sites. While the early SPAM feature blocks potentially threatening emails, it doesn't completely ward off all spam emails. Customer support by way of telephone disappointed us some, as we were put on hold and disconnected. We didn't give up and called back, reaching a rep that answered our question, but wasn't overly friendly. Email support was speedy, but the response was very canned. Overall, they get 5.0 Stars!
