Our Favorite Feature:

We really like the fact that Automotive.com allows dealers to compete for your business online. Simply fill out the 4-step quote request form and dealers will offer you their best Internet prices. It's like the auto quote version of LendingTree.com.

The Automotive Experience:

When our reviewers first entered the Automotive.com homepage we weren't overly impressed. We felt the layout was very similar to the other quote websites we had visited, it just took a bit longer to load.

Navigation wasn't very intuitive. If you use the form on the homepage to get a quote you're going to have to provide your personal information (including your phone number). If you really want to shop for a car and don't mind dealers calling you, this won't be a problem. If, however, you value your privacy and you just want basic pricing information you can click on the New Cars link and get hassle free pricing from there.

Getting pricing on used cars is the same. Click on the “Used Cars” link and select the make, model and year for the car you want to price. The results are instantaneous and you can find listings of used cars that match your description for sale by clicking the Find It Used Here button. It's really a useful feature. You can also get rough estimates on how much it will cost you to insure your car using the site's tools. If your on a budget, this is another tool that will help you decide exactly how much car you can afford.
