Barnes and Noble is not honest

While the website for B & N has all the bells and whistles and appears to be proactive and provide great customer service, it is quite the opposite. Twice now I have tried to order a book from Barnes and Noble for one of our courses at the university and both times after being strung along for a couple weeks, I had to cancel the order. After corresponding with customer service for 10 days and being told "After checking our inventory, we have confirmed the availability of your items". This was an out and out lie. They were out of stock and were trying to order it from the publisher, who was out of stock until November.
My advise; if it doesn't ship immediately, don't wait because you may never get the item util you no longer need it.
Barnes and Noble Is Great!

Barnes and Noble has a great website that is easy to use. I love their shipping service too! If you order a certain amount, shipping is free and fast. The only problem I have encountered on their website is the large amount of items they carry online. I get too many results when doing just a simple search but I still shop at the online site!

I recently purchased my first book set from Barnes and Noble. The shipping was super fast! There selection was great and the website was very easy to use. We do not have a brick and mortar Barnes and Noble within 100 miles so I was quite excited to find that they had a website.
They do have a members "club" that you can join for bigger savings. I did notice after I ordered from them that my email box has been flooded with sales offers. That could potentially offer better savings on future purchases.
The set I bought was less exensive than Amazon but as a general rule I thought most of Amazons prices were better.
