BrotherSoft is, perhaps, one of my favorite software download sites. It offers various navigation abilities that all sites should look into. You can navigate by way of a tag cloud of popular searches. If I want to download an AVI player, the list of available software is a mere click away, no typing needed.

In addition, the most popular subcategories are right on the front page. I don’t have to first navigate to the main category, and then search through its subcategories to find, say, Rippers & Encoders. It’s right there on the front page.

I especially like the new releases and new updates boxes on the front page. If I want to try out a new program, I don’t have to fiddle with the ordering of searches or anything like that, I just scroll down a little on the front page. If I could, I would use this website for all of my web surfing needs. But until we have the technology to do that, I’ll have to be content with using it for all of my software downloads.
