Budget Rental is the most unethical, unprofessional and has the lamest customer service ever! At Orlando airport, we stood in line for over an hour to get the car that I had rented online. The intermediate car that I chose was $204.74 and I wound up with a gold Mustang costing 379.74. The Budget rep says I have a really great deal for you in fact I'm ashamed for anyone to see it....so, he writes it on a piece of paper and shows it to us along with a picture of a blue Mustang. The rate of $175.00 was on the paper and I knew that it was less than what I had agreed to...I said "Oh, that's nice". NO MENTION of an UPGRADE! I know what an upgrade is and trust me I would never have agreed to that. I never signed anything, agreement was in my name, credit card was in my name, and my husband initialed where told. The next day I look at papers and see that approximate charge is $520.71. I called 4 or 5 times and actually got to speak to someone on a couple of occasions. I left 3 messages with NO response. I called corp customer service and was told that they couldn't address problem until after contract ended. On Monday following the end of contract....I emailed Budget customer care and this is Wed. and you guessed it...I STILL haven't heard from them.

Awful service. I have rented from Alamo and National before and this was my first time trying Budget. I made a reservation online and was late for pick up. The guy at the counter was a smart ass about it. He asked me what time I had made the reservation and asked me what time it was. So he said he had no car available for me. I really don't think that was necessary. I think that was very unprofessional and rude. I'm not saying all Budget locations are the same but I'm definitely staying away from this place.

Reserved a car online with my own debit card and age. Showed up on my honey moon to find out they wont give me a car because I'm 23 and not 25. How can i reserve a car from another state with my own credit car, providing my own age, and then show up and have it denied? You would think i would have gotten a warning on the screen telling me you wont actually be able to pay for the car with the debit card you just reserved the car with. It would have been nice to be fully aware that this was the case. But im sure they hid that CRUCIAL info in the 3 pages of small print. And then the guy at the counter was totally rude. He could care less that we were 1000 miles from home and stuck! He wouldn't even look me in the eye when we talked! Totally rude, unprofessional and he couldn't care less. He wouldnt even attempt to point me to another place where i could possible get a vehicle or take a bus. He refused to get a manager to help or even explain to me in detail how i could reserve a card with my debit number and than not be able to pay with that same car 2 days latter. He honestly didnt care on bit. Im surprised someone with no sympathy is allowed to work a "customer care" job. This one experience has ruined the chance of me ever getting a car through Budget. I will always go with the other guy. The one that was shocked that this had happened to me. The one that waived 200 dollars in fees and basically bought my business for the rest of my life. Guess who the other one was...
