Your credit score and report are essential tools when buying a home or a car or renting an apartment. They make up your credit reputation, and a good report and score signal to a lender or a landlord that you are a trustworthy person who honors your commitments. Many people assume that their credit reputation is okay and never bother to check their report and score, until one day when they are suddenly denied credit. You don't want to be in that boat, but where can you turn for the data you need? That's where our credit report website reviews come in. CreditReporting.com is one of the services we looked into. Our Favorite Feature:

We liked the fact that CreditReporting.com gave us a lot of helpful advice and information. We were able to learn about credit report disputes, get tips on how to improve our credit score, and learn how to opt out of credit solicitations.

The CreditReporting.com Experience:

CreditReporting.com is a credit monitoring service and more. Their main offer provided us with the opportunity to see all three of our credit reports and credit scores for free. We were also enrolled in a 7-day trial for their credit monitoring services. If we didn’t cancel within those seven days, we would be charged a price of $29.95 per month. We found that to be a bit steep considering other services offer the same product for about half the price.

There were other product options for us at the site, including Triple Advantage, which gives you unlimited access to your Experian credit score and report and monitors all three of your credit reports for just $12.00 a month.

If you're worried about more than just Experian, the product that offers a three-bureau credit report and all 3 of your credit scores might be in order. This isn't a monitoring service, however. It's a one-time report and score trio for a price of $39.85.

The site also offered some other ala carte pricing that might appeal to those who are on a tight budget and just want some general snapshots of the shape their credit is in.

Triple Advantage - Unlimited access to your Experian credit score and report, plus it monitors all three credit reports with a 30-day free trial for $12 per month.
3 Bureau Credit Report & 3 Credit Scores - One-time order of these reports and scores with no monitoring for $39.85.
3 Bureau Credit Report & Experian Score - Snapshot of your three current credit reports, plus Experian score for $34.90.
3 Bureau Credit Report Without Scores – See all three of your credit reports, but no scores for $29.90.
Experian Credit Report & Score – Get your Experian credit report and score for $14.95.
Equifax Credit Report & Score – Get your Equifax credit report and score for $14.95.
TransUnion Credit Report & Score – Get your TransUnion credit report and score for $14.95.

CreditReporting.com Customer Service:

You can contact CreditReporting.com by e-mail or regular mail. They also provide you with the address for all three credit bureaus and have a very helpful FAQ section. We received a response to our email inquiry within one business day after sending it. While the answer seemed like something pulled from a template, it did address our questions to our satisfaction. The only problem is, many of the other credit reporting websites offer live phone support and don't charge as much as CreditReporting.com. We think their service department could use a phone addition.

Upside:

Free trials, several products to choose from, a very helpful resource section.

Downside:

The main product has a very short trial period (7-days) and a very high monthly fee ($29.95).
