Pricing is extremely simple, and is based upon how many gigabytes of data that you intend to use. If you only need 2 GB, you only pay for that amount – what could be simpler?

The service also offers file versioning, a pretty neat feature that allows you to store multiple versions of files. This is great for businesses that require storage of various forms of the same file, such as a book manuscript that is being edited. Further, you’re also given the ability to simply store one version of the file, which will update as needed on the server. With these two features combined, we think that Datadepositbox.com has certainly covered all of their bases.

While pricing is based upon how much data usage you require, it seems to us that this is only a benefit to those individuals utilizing minimal storage space. If you are a business owner looking to store several gigabytes worth of data, you may be looking at a hefty bill each month for your services. If, on the other hand, you only want to pay for the data you store and you don't plan on taking up oodles of storage space, DataDepositBox may very well be your best bet.

This was probably one of our favorite features of the DataDepositBox website. The company couldn't be more helpful if they tried. Our call was answered in a timely manner, and the representative actually wanted to help us. E-mail links were also provided for users that simply do not want to deal with a live person, and the Frequently Asked Questions page seemed to have covered all of our initial questions. Our team concurred that there was absolutely no room for improvement from this aspect!

Upside:

Remarkable customer service, pay only for the storage you use, save multiple versions of your files.

Downside:

Pricing can get somewhat expensive when requiring large amounts of storage space.

Data Deposit Box is one of those few storage services which allows you to backup network drives.

Data Deposit Box provides for sort of innovative pricing mechanism. You pay for what you use. You pay $1 per GB per month up to the first gigabyte. After that you pay $3 per gigabyte per month. They don't charge any fees for bandwidth costs, just storage. You can also attach multiple machines to a single account for no additional costs.

One drawback with Data Deposit Box service is that it does not allow user generated encryption keys.

But overall with its capability of backing up network drives and good pricing strategy I would have given it 5 star rating, but I am deducting one star for its problem with the user generated keys.

I give 4 stars rating.
