The thing we enjoyed most about Delray Credit Counseling is the fact that its non-profit roots allow it to be primarily focused on consumer education. This means that the website is more centered around helping individuals learn more about debt and money solutions than just getting their business. We also liked browsing the wealth of information provided on the site regarding charities, home buying, and student debt.

The Delray Credit Counseling Experience:

From the very beginning, Delray Credit Counseling makes it clear that it exists to help individuals suffering from financial stress. The first sentence of the homepage states “Delray Credit Counseling offers consumers free ongoing credit counseling services and educational materials, regardless of whether or not consumers enroll in the DCC debt management plan program.” This information helped build our confidence in the organization’s services right from the start.

The site lists a number of features in its left-hand menu bar, including money resources, tax assistance, and credit reports. We found the range of services on the website to be quite thorough, spanning a wide range of debt relief tools and options. Because Delray Credit Counseling is not-for-profit, they provide many more offsite resources to aid in debt management than their competition, which we found to be a great help.

Another positive aspect about the Delray Credit Counseling experience is the collection of user testimonials, local events, and debt blogs. These contribute to a more interactive experience than a lot of other debt consolidation websites have to offer. We were also entertained by the Interesting Money section, which included articles on 12 Amazing Facts About Credit Card Debt and 24 Amazing Pictures of Money.

While Delray Credit Counseling does charge fees for the debt management program, the information on the site is free and so are referrals.

Delray Credit Counseling Customer Service:

DCC offers customer service via a debt consultation form and via e-mail address. A toll-free help line is also open Monday through Thursday from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM EST, and Fridays from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST.

Phone support was easy to access with a hold time of less than 2 minutes and email support was just as prompt. Delray got back to us within hours of receiving our request. Overall, we were very pleased with Delray's support, we'd just have liked to see more online knowledge and FAQs available.

Upside:

Downside:

No FAQ info.
