Our Favorite Feature:

Our favorite feature was the fact that there are no annual limitations on the dollar amount of dental services you can obtain with any of the plans provided by DentalPlans.com. Some plans limit the amount of your benefits annual. DentalPlans.com does not.

The DentalPlans Experience:

The DentalPlans.com website was very easy to use and is offered in both Spanish and English. We were happy to see that most of the information we were looking for was located right on the homepage. The site offers a search box that allows you to enter your zip code and find a dentist near you and you can also browse the types of dental insurance plans that are offered in your region.

The site also offers a convenient dental plan comparison chart. We highly suggest looking this chart over, as DentalPlans.com isn't an "insurance" provider, per say. It is actually a discount dental plan that allows you to receive dental care at reduced rates.

DentalPlans.com doesn't hide the fact that they are a dental discount plan and not an insurance policy. They are careful to point out that their discounted dental plans are an alternative to regular insurance, and that they differ in several ways from typical dental insurance coverage options. While dental insurance charges high monthly premiums, DentalPlans discounted plans charge a yearly membership fee.

DentalPlans Customer Service:

DentalPlans.com has a first-rate customer service department. The toll-free support number is one of the first things you'll see on the home page. There is also a comprehensive FAQ page that offers useful information about DentalPlans discounts and how the dental plans that they offer do differ from normal dental insurance coverage. We also found an online contact form that allowed us to submit our questions, as well as contact numbers for specific DentalPlans departments. If you're looking for comprehensive customer service in today's service-lacking Internet age, DentalPlans.com has it.

Upside:

Affordable coverage, no waiting for coverage, good customer service.

Downside:

It's not actual coverage, but rather a discount dental plan.
