When we first conceived the idea of creating our own fantasy sports team, we initially thought that just managing a team was going to be enough for us. We quickly learned, however, that it was not. This became evident when we found out that not only could we manage a fantasy team, but we could also make money doing so. In our search for fantasy sports services that could accommodate our needs to manage a team and win money at the same time, we tackled Dime Sports. Here's how they measured up to the best fantasy sports services on the Web.

Our favorite feature has to be the money. Not that we are the greedy type, but we could not see past the idea that we could potentially be awarded $100,000 for playing and managing fantasy sports teams. This, to us, was great motivation to use this service.

If your monitor and your keyboard are working well, then so is this site. We found that signing up and getting around the Dime Sports site is simple and hassle free. This is due, in part, to the menu bar that made finding the information we wanted easy and intuitive. Additionally, the sign-up for the paid and trial versions of this site are large and clearly marked, leaving no doubt about which service you're opting for. Boxes such as 'Latest News' highlight fantasy sports news and features such as Fantasy Message Boards are clearly displayed across the top portion of the page.

Whether you are setting up a free account to learn how to play the game or a paid one so you can go for the win, finding your way around to the information couldn’t get much easier. It took less than five minutes to navigate the site, register and start our fantasy sports experience. Dime Sports doesn't offer you very much in lieu of things like multimedia or comprehensive draft rooms, but if you're looking to manage a team and trade players, this site provides a pretty simple setup to do so through.

Dime Sports Pricing:

Basic sign up with Dime Sports is free and it allows you access to player information and in-depth analysis. Of course, if you want access to all of Dime Sports' features, you can get the all-access package for $49.95. This includes all of the benefits of free membership plus the ability to participate in the Dime Sports $2,000 dollar weekly cash prize contest, as well as their $100,000 dollar grand prize drawing.

Dime Sports Customer Support:

Customer service for the Dime Sports is, as with most sites, tied to an online email form. Simply submit your question via the Web and a rep will get back to you promptly (if you consider two business days prompt). In addition to the web mail contact form, the site offers a helpful FAQ and detailed instructions on how to play the game. We found this very useful, especially for new users who have never played fantasy sports before.

Upside:

One of the largest payouts for a fantasy sports grand prize, free basic sign up, user-friendly website.

Downside:

Even those who are only signing up to use the free portion of the site have to supply credit card information.

Summary:

We thought this fantasy sports site was pretty good, overall. Fantasy sports on Dime Sports gives you the opportunity to earn some cash, which we know you all like! If you sign up for an all-access package for $49.95, you have the chance to win the $2,000 weekly cash prize, as well as the chance to snag the $100k grand prize drawing. Similarly to other sites of their kind, Dime Sports offers users access to game and player news & analysis, message boards, live scoring as well as player news and statistics. There are FAQs here, if you need any assistance, and when we submitted an inquiry via web contact form, we heard back within two days...not bad. Overall, we think they're a decent place for fantasy sports fans.
