I recently tried fastweb.com after trying to find money for college. One of the great things about this site is that all of the scholarships are detailed so you know if these are the right one for you. There were plenty of scholarships in my area, and I was able to get approved for a few myself.

Fastweb offers the scholarships to student who have difficuly in continuing their education further because of lack of money. The student goes through a fairly long process of filling out forms which list their name, address, GPA, hobbies, major, colleges of interest… and much more. There are 5 or 6 “Steps” or Online Pages to fill out. At the end, a mailbox is generated for the student which lists all the scholarships available given the information submitted. I received 5 results when entering very standard information. They also provide a sample form letter for inquiries about the scholarships. This is a very useful site, so hang in there when filling out the forms! Based on the information you provide them, they will find a perfect match for you. Overall, this is an excellent source for finding scholarship resources (only snail mail addresses are given).

I joined Fast Web because my friend was looking for scholarships on every site she could find so I joined up on this one as well as a few others too. I find that it pretty much offers the SAME thing that Scholarships.com offers, only I never seem to get updates or emails from Fast Web, which has it's pluses and it's minuses because I'd like my inbox to be free, but I don't want it to NOT have money or updates on a scholarship deadline. I only found maybe 1 or 2 things that were in addition to what the other sites had to offer, so I think it's the same. Although, as a holder of a Sallie Mae loan, Sallie Mae searches through Fast Web for scholarships available to its customers, so I guess that's an added bonus?
