Our Favorite Feature:

We really liked the "Learn About Type" section of the Fonts.com website. If you know what fonts are but don't really understand how they're created or how they work, this section is an absolute must-see.

The Fonts.com Experience:

Fonts.com was one of the more refined font websites we came across. When you hit the homepage you'll find that it's attractive and well laid-out with a number of links and resources to peruse. There were literally thousands of fonts to choose from and they can be searched by keyword or via category including new fonts and top fonts. You can even search by font designer if you have a favorite.

In addition to buying single fonts, you can buy entire font libraries from the Fonts.com website. Just be prepared to spend quite the pretty penny if this is the route you want to go. The 2,300+ Adobe font collection costs a whopping $6,399 and the cheapest font library available came in at just under $1,000.

The portion of the site that really impressed us was definitely the "Learn About Type" section. Here we could learn about font technologies, how fonts are created, how they are used and more. It was definitely an interesting read.

If, for some reason, out of the thousands of fonts the site offers, you can't find the font you're looking for, this site can still help. Fonts.com offers custom font services as well as corporate identity packages, font conversions and other personalized font services.

We found them to be one of the most comprehensive font websites for both personal and business font needs.

Fonts.com Pricing:

Fonts.com pricing seemed to be quite high. Most of the fonts were $30 or more, and some were more than $200 for a single font! Font libraries were the worst of all as far as pricing went, with the cheapest one costing just shy of $1,000. There are definitely cheaper font sites on the Web.

Fonts.com Customer Service:

Fonts.com does offer great customer support. There is a comprehensive FAQ as well as email contact and live phone support. When we emailed the company they got an answer back to us the very same day and phone support was also quick and efficient providing fast and easy-to-understand answers. Fonts.com may be quite expensive as far as pricing goes, but they do have the stellar customer support you'd expect from an upscale font service.

Upside:

Custom font services available, informative font technology information, great customer support.

Downside:

The prices were a shocker.
