MMORPGs require plenty of dedication. You have to invest hours and hours into leveling up your characters so you'll be strong enough to face the game's top challenged. Of course, that was the case before virtual asset trading began to include powerleveling. In our quest for the best MMORPG, our team discovered GamePal, a service offering powerleveling features. About GamePal:
GamePal offers a number of the same virtual assets as similar top MMORPG sites, but they may be best known for their powerleveling service. They use a team of experienced players to level up characters within the games, they can skip the beginner stages and advance right to the top. Buyers can choose from stock options for their character, or they can have their current character leveled up.
Navigating & Using the GamePal Site:
Discovering what's available at GamePal is fairly easy. From the home page, you'll see all of the MMORPGs supported by the site. Under each game is a pull-down menu with your options, including buying powerleveling and selling currency. Choose your option and a list of what's available for purchase or an estimate calculator determining the value of what you have to sell appears. The process is simple and not much different from what you'll find at similar sites.
GamePal Selection & Availability:
GamePal's selection of games does include a few MMORPGs not served by other sites, such as City of Heroes and City of Villains. Most of the games do have currency and accounts available, although the amount of accounts does vary considerably. A couple, such as Guild Wars, has very limited selection. Additionally, powerleveling services are available for all of the games except Anarchy Online.
Pricing & Payment Options:
Virtual asset prices do vary greatly depending on the game and the server you choose. GamePal's currency prices tend to be higher than what you'll find at other sites, including IGE. Some examples of currency prices are below:
-
5,000k Gil (Final Fantasy XI) = $314.60
-
2,000 Gold (Word of Warcraft) = $197.91
-
4,000 Gold (Everquest II) = $61.66
GamePal accepts major credit cards through Google Checkout and Paypal payments.
Customer Support:
GamePal offers customer support through email and live chat. No FAQ's appear to be available anywhere on the site which may be particularly annoying if you're interested in learning more about the affiliate program or if you have common questions about delivery times or accepted payment types.
We did send GamePal a question about powerleveling via email. The site has different emails for questions about their different services. In less than 20 minutes, we received a response to our question. Unfortunately, our response was “Depends on the game.” The representative didn't even ask us to specify a game or give us useful information. We were very disappointed with the quality of the response.
GamePal redeemed itself through its live chat service. After being connected almost instantly to a representative, we asked him the same question. He provided a more detailed answer and even let us know that the delivery times shown on the site were really just estimates. He was friendly and thorough, which we had to appreciate after our email support experience.
Upside:
Good selection of virtual assets. Great support by live chat.
Downside:
No FAQ's. Higher prices. Poor customer service via email.
Summary:
When we compare multiplayer online games' support sites, GamePal does stand out in a few ways. For one, their selection of virtual assets is quite good compared to similar sites. Their powerleveling service is also an impressive addition. However, as part of our MMORPG reviews, we've also noticed GamePal's prices are significantly higher than many of their competitors. While their live chat customer support was fast and effective, the lack of FAQ's and their apathetic email response hurt their final showing. Overall, GamePal may not be your first choice for virtual assets but it's worth considering.
