Hertz rental cars are a company that offers great customer service and wonderful response time. However the rental cars prices are a lot higher then other car companies and the additional fees that are associated with the rental is more pricier then the other companies. The cars that are available through Hertz were very limited and our not up to date as the other car rental companies. Overall, I would consider this rental car company only if there is a discount or a special that they are offering because you can get a better car at another rental company at a lower price.

I recently took a trip down south where I needed to rent a car. I looked online for days trying to find the best deals. I came across Hertz. I wasn't looking for anything fancy as far as the vehicle goes; I ended up getting a Chevy Malibu. They classify this vehicle as a mid size car. The price was only 27 dollars a day, which was significantly less than what the competitors were offering. I purchased the renters insurance and was on my way. I was very pleased with the vehicle, as it was loaded with all the options. The staff was also very helpful and professional.

When I accidentally landed in a huge pothole and busted my tire and wheel, I did not know what to do.  I had heard that car rental companies would not accept debit cards for payment and they would not take cash.  I did not have any credit cards at the time.  I called five different car rental places and finally, Hertz, came to my rescue.  They take debit cards and they were really nice about it too.  My friend drove me to pick up the car and I had no hassles at all.  I had the car for two days and all went smoothly.  The only thing you need to be aware of is that when they use your debit card they put a hold on about twice as much money as it is actually going to cost you so that you do not spend the money before they get your bill paid.  Other than that, its all good.  I would recommend them to anyone who does not have a credit card or just needs to rent a car.
