Star Reviews' Favorite Feature:

We liked the fact that HomeworkSpot includes a Study Break section for each age group. These sections include links to challenging mind games, puzzles, and mazes for students to work with. These tools can help students sharpen their problem-solving skills in a fun and interactive format.

The HomeworkSpot Experience:

The first thing we noticed when hitting the HomeworkSpot homepage was that the site had quite a lot of ads lining the pages. Because the ads are done in the same color scheme as the rest of the website, we found it difficult to tell the difference between outside links and actual site content. This could prove confusing to younger children.

The HomeworkSpot menu contains the three main categories broken down by student age groups. Each category is then broken down by a list of school subjects beneath them. When we tried to explore the content of the categories, we realized that all of the website content simply links to outside activities and resources. HomeworkSpot itself does not provide any original educational information.

The HomeworkSpot website is intended to be a free resource for students, parents, and educators. Just be sure you understand that all of the links take you to outside resources. The website really functions as no more than a collection of links. The same resources could be provided by any major search engine, only with less ads. If you're looking for an educational website portal, this is it. If you're looking for a full-service homework solution, look elsewhere.
