When we looked at MMORPG services, Star Reviews wondered why virtual assets were only available for top games and not some of the smaller ones. After searching for some more services to cater to your gaming needs, we found IGXE. IGXE not only sells currency for the best multiplayer online games, but also for more obscure titles. About IGXE:
IGXE, which stands for Internet Game Exchange, specializes in virtual assets for MMORPGs. Unlike their competitors which deal with maybe a dozen games, IGXE offers assets for more than forty games. While some of the games, such as The Sims Online, no longer have much support or interest, others – like AutoAssault – are newer but not supported by other sites. We are sticklers for selection, so IGXE didn’t disappoint us in this department.
Navigating & Using the IGXE Site:
Making a purchase through the site is easy. You simply select the game you want from the menu on the left side of the home page then scroll down through the latest news and information about the game. Pick your server and add the gold, items, or powerleveling you want to your shopping cart. It's that simple. To sell currency or items, click on the “Sell to Us” tab and you'll be redirected to a different site. You'll need plenty of patience because even with a high-speed Internet connection, the site loads slowly.
Selling is a little more complicated than buying. One issue with the site is the poor quality of the copy. Some of IGXE’s text not only detracts from the site's professionalism, but also makes the copy hard to understand in parts. But, we do like the layout of IGXE’s MMORPG service and can definitely see why a gamer would come here to purchase virtual assets or the like.
IGXE Selection & Availability:
IGXE provides a larger selection of games than their competitors. Nearly any MMORPG you're interested in will be supported here through their extensive virtual asset database. Powerleveling is available for two dozen of the games, but currency is in stock and available for almost all of the games. They do not disappoint when it comes to their selection.
Pricing & Payment Options:
The prices for virtual assets do vary depending on the game and the server you use. In general, IGXE seems to have some of the lowest currency prices available.
-
5,000k Gil (Final Fantasy XI) = $265.53
-
2,000 Gold (Word of Warcraft) = $153.30
-
4,000 Gold (Everquest II) = $31.78
IGXE accepts Visa, Mastercard, and Paypal payments for small orders. For bulk orders, you can use a wire transfer.
Customer Support:
IGXE offers customer support in nearly every way imagineable. More than two dozen FAQ's are available and they cover most any question you can dream up. However, if you can't find your answer there, you can contact IGXE by phone, by fax, by email, and by live chat.
We tried all of these methods. The fax support is probably the least useful. For one, you have to cover the long distance costs. We also had to wait the longest for a response with our faxed question. Our phone experience went fine, however. We were connected after only a short wait and received an answer to our question after we provided a few more details, such as which game and server we were asking about. The same was true for support through live chat, which was friendly and efficient.
We received a response to our email inquiry in less than 20 minutes. However, the answer was unclear and poorly written. We were more confused after reading it than we were before. Basically, we would recommend support by live chat or by phone, which already outshines some of their competition in customer support.
Upside:
Good selection of virtual assets and MMORPGs. Good support by live chat and phone. Affordable prices.
Downside:
Selling is harder than buying.
Summary:
Our goal was to compare multiplayer online games' support sites, and we were impressed with how IGXE stacked up to the competition. They provide the best selection, the most customer service options, and some of the lowest prices. Unfortunately, the unprofessional writing of copy in some places, including the email customer support response, hinders the site. Of all the MMORPG reviews, IGXE was one of the most well-rounded and is definitely worth considering for your virtual asset purchases.
