The Star Reviews team knows this all too well and we came across the good, the bad and the ugly in our search for the best font sites on the Web. Our Favorite Feature:

We really liked the "New Fonts" section of the ITCFonts.com website. It let us see the new fonts recently made available and also shed light on what's hot in font trends at the moment.

The ITCFonts.com Experience:

The ITCFonts.com website is not boring by any means. In fact, landing on the homepage the first thing you'll notice is that it's a bit too busy. There are links thrown to and fro and the images on the site really don't serve much of a purpose. After getting over our initial headache we decided to dig a little deeper to see exactly what the site had to offer.

First, there was the ITC monthly specials. When we visited the site ITC Anna was the special of the month and the site was offering a discount of 10 percent off. It's not expensive at just $25, until you realize there's nothing special about the font.

Once you check out the font of the month we suggest taking a look at the "Top 5 Fonts" section. It'll let you see which five are the most popular of all the ITC fonts being sold. It was during our perusal of these new fonts that we got a bit sick to our stomachs. Why? Because $246 for a single font (the price of the new ITC Novarese Pro font) was a bit hard to swallow. Unless you're a business and you need special services, why pay almost $250 for a font when you can go elsewhere and download one for free?

Yes, the ITCFonts website was a bit bright and colorful and some of the fonts were rather unique and special. We just can't justify paying that much money for something when you can get something cheaper (or free) somewhere else. Unless you need corporate font services, ITCFonts.com probably isn't going to be the best site to meet your font download needs.

ITCFonts.com Pricing:

ITCFonts.com doesn't have competitive pricing. They're not even close to competitive. Charging upwards of $200 for a decent font is not something we can condone. That being said, they might be able to help the needs of a business and the pricing might not affect a corporate budget as much as it would a personal one.

ITCFonts.com Customer Service:

ITCFonts.com offers customer support via email and phone. We found both methods to be extremely helpful. Email support responded within hours of us submitting our request and phone support had very little hold time with a knowledgeable and friendly representative waiting on the other line. The company may charge a lot for its services, but it definitely offers stellar service and support.

Upside:

Custom font services, great customer support, submit your own font designs for publication.

Downside:

Expensive.
