We really liked the fact that Ice offers a payment plan that allows you to pay for an item in three equal installments using a credit or debit card, without interest. It definitely makes it easier to buy something you really like that might be a bit more expensive than you can comfortably afford all at once.

Ice.com's home page is attractively designed with a light, airy feel that invites the visitor in. The pages load quickly and the search offerings are convenient and easy to use. You will find a panel listing at the top offering: Shop by Price, Rings, Earrings, Bracelets, Pendants, Necklaces and Watches. A blank search option is also available. If you prefer, you can shop their features: Wedding Boutique, What’s New, Designers & Collections, Hollywood Jewels, Best Sellers and Birth Stone Collection.; or shop by type, category, gem, price or any combination. We really appreciated that there were so many search and shop features available.

When we started researching Ice.com we chose the diamond department to see what they offered in the way of engagement rings. The selection of solitaire rings ranged from a ¼ ct to 1 ct sizes in 14 or 18 K Yellow Gold or 14 K White Gold or Platinum. We felt that it was a very limited selection compared to what we had seen on other sites. The selection of multi-diamond bridal rings, however, appeared to be more extensive.

We were happy to see that Ice.com offers a payment plan on any item priced between $50 and $5,000. We think this is a great service and provides customers with the opportunity to spread payments out for an expensive item without incurring interest charges.

And there are definitely deals to be had at the site. Among the “Hot Summer Items” we found sterling silver swirl earrings for $50, a 10 K yellow gold and white crystal bangle for $125 and a diamond 14K Tri color Gold Butterfly Ring for $195.

Solitaire diamond rings range from $395 for ½ Ct to $7,295 for 1 Ct; most rings are available with different size diamonds.
Ladies wedding bands are priced from $225 to $625; Men’s bands are $395 to $1,375.
Watches range from $95 to $695.
A good selection of items are listed under $100 and a similar selection is offered over $1500.

Ice Customer Service:

Ice.com has a jewelry education section providing all the necessary information on diamonds, gold and pearls to make an informed shopping decision. They also offer customer service via phone Monday through Thursday from 9 AM to 9 PM EST; Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM EST; Sunday, 12 PM to 6 PM EST. We found hold times to be very reasonable and the person we spoke with was able to answer all of our questions effortlessly (and we threw some tough ones in there).

You can also get customer service via email, but it won't be as prompt. We got a response the second business day.

Upside:

Three monthly payment option, a good selection of quality jewelry, live customer service.

Downside:

Some department selections are somewhat limited relative to what we saw elsewhere.
