We had high hopes for Equifax Credit Watch Gold. You'd think Equifax, being one of the three major credit reporting bureaus, would understand that customer service is key. We were quite disappointed in our encounter and felt the actual product could be improved as well.
Equifax does not offer a comprehensive
identity theft protection service. Instead, it offers bare-bones package that includes daily credit monitoring. On the bright side, however, they do include $20,000 of insurance with their service.

While there is definitely room for improvement,
Equifax Credit Watch Gold does have its place in the world of identity theft prevention. It will likely suit those who prefer to take more of a do-it-yourself approach while paying less out of pocket. If, however, you prefer comprehensive protection and attentive customer service, you might want to look into other options. Equifax still being a big name, deserved to be reviewed and we give them
