Our Favorite Feature:

We really liked Inbox.com's advanced email sorting features. You can create dozens of folders and then set up your incoming mail filter into those folders. This is great if you receive hundreds of mails each day and don't want to miss out on important emails from people you actually want to hear from.

The Inbox.com Experience:

We found Inbox.com to be very easy to use and it was one of the most feature-rich free email programs we came across. Sign-up took just a couple of minutes and setting up our folders and customizing our email options was a breeze.

We really liked the filter feature offered by the site. We could create folders for specific people and then filter those emails to go directly to those folders whenever emails were received from them. It definitely cuts back on the chance that important emails will get lost in the shuffle if you tend to get a large volume of emails each day.

It was also nice to see that Inbox.com supports POP3 email. If you prefer to manage your emails with Outlook or another POP3 application, you can route all of your Inbox.com mail to your POP3 interface on your computer. Not many free email services offer this feature.

And there is an abundance of other features offered by the site including a photo storage tool, a free Inbox.com toolbar, easy folder management and more. The only thing that Inbox.com seemed to be missing was mobile access. That being said, however, you can get around this fact by using a POP3 compatible mobile device since Inbox.com is one of the few companies that actually offers POP3 support.

Overall we have to say that Inbox.com offers a very solid free email service and feel it will meet the needs of most of our readers.

Inbox.com Pricing:

The 5GB Inbox.com account is free. If you need more storage, you can upgrade to an account that offers 30GB for just $29.88 per year.

Inbox.com Customer Service:

Inbox.com is definitely on the ball when it comes to customer support. There is a comprehensive help section (although we'd like to have seen better search features here) and free email support. When we submitted a request to the company's support department we received a response within 2 business days, which is much better than the companies who never responded to us at all.

Upside:

Good customer service, POP3 compatible, useful filter feature.

Downside:

No mobile access available.
