All mothers have questions and concerns about the best way to raise their children. We are often looking for advice, suggestions, ideas or sometimes even just conversation. The Internet provides an array of support and informational opportunities for us. It’s definitely quicker, easier and a whole lot cheaper than a bookshelf full of parenting books. Our favorite Feature:

We really liked the site's Videos for Mom. These interesting media add-ons featured clips of experts discussing a variety of topics that moms would find interesting and useful.

The JustMommies Experience:

The pages loaded quickly and so did the ads! From the second we landed on JustMommies.com we were inundated with advertising. From pop-ups to flash ads it was difficult to tell what was an ad and what was a legitimate part of the site.

The first time we navigated away from the home page we were met with a full page ad we had to “x” out of to go on. If we scrolled to close to an ad it would jump out onto the screen. The experience was less than ideal, to say the least.

As we waded through the advertising we found a large selection of articles that would be of interest to moms. A topical search at the top of the home page offers links to articles on topics such as preconception, pregnancy, parenting, health and beauty and more. From tips to charts, the information and support is plentiful. It just means getting through the maze of ads to get to it.

A selection of topical videos offers moms a unique way of acquiring information. If you like to listen to someone talk rather than read you will definitely appreciate this feature. The Quizzes and Tools section includes “JustMommies Calculators” where you will find a calculator to determine your body mass index, a breastfeeding calculator and more. Preconception and pregnancy tools include information on fertility charting as well as a pregnancy calendar. There was even a homeschool report card and a weekly lesson planner.

We also liked the very-active message boards available to those who register. New “chats” are also available every day and cover a wide variety of topics. You can even create your own blog in the social networking area and your own email group as well.

Fortunately, registering for JustMommies was free and easy. The only thing that concerns us is the amount of spam we'll be receiving in exchange for this free registration if the ads on the site are any indication.

JustMommies.com is free to use and registration is also free. The site is obviously ad supported.

JustMommies Customer Service:

While the site does not offer live support, they can be contacted via email. We received an answer about three days after we sent our question in. Of course, the interactive forums and chat are a great way to get immediate answers from other members of the JustMommies.com website.

Upside:

A wealth of informative articles, useful tools and resources, social networking venues.

Downside:

Way too much advertising.
