The Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 Experience:

Kasperksy Internet Security 2009 was one of the easiest Internet security suites to install. The installation prompts led us through the software step by step and we didn't run into a single problem along the way.

We were able to run certain scans without experiencing any slowdown in our system performance. The scan was very effective and we didn't run into a single problem navigating the tools and features of the software.

We found Kasperky's reports to be a bit more in-depth than some of the other Internet security products we tested and we appreciated the ability to filter down into detailed sub-reports when necessary. We also appreciated the fact that their parental control features rivaled the stand-alone products and their virtual keyboard adds an extra layer of security.

The only thing we didn't like was that Kasperky's pop-up blocking feature didn't seem to work as well as some of the other Internet security products we tested. As we were surfing we'd still encounter the occasional pop-up advertisement, although not nearly as many as we would had we not been running a pop-up blocker at all.

Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 costs $79.95 to protect up to 3 computers for 1 year.

Kaspersky Customer Service:

Kaspersky has been known to offer excellent customer service and they didn't let us down this time around. We were able to contact the company via email and a toll-free telephone number. Both methods of support responded to us very quickly and the answers provided were both informative and easy to understand.

The company also offers an online FAQ and integrated knowledge base if you'd like to troubleshoot or research your questions on your own. When it comes to addressing customer needs, Kaspersky is definitely on the ball.

Upside:

Great customer service competitive pricing, easy to use and install.

Downside:

Didn't block pop-ups as well as some of the other products.

Fantastic Security Suite

I've used several security suites over the years, and Kaspersky is the best I've used by far. It even removed a Trojan from my fiancee's system AFTER it was infected. It doesn't slow your browsing down any more than other products and the interface is simple, yet offers enough options for advanced users.

Before using Kaspersky, I always encountered some virus problems and had to reinstall the system or even format the disk. But after using it for 3 years, I never worry about the virus. It did provide the safe zone for PC. And as the product upgrade, they also provide some function for the Adware or other new kind of worm. It is so amazing that they identify the new virus so quickly and so well.

Works just fine as an Internet Security Suite. Has a great spamfilter so you don't need to be buying second options.
