Kodak Gallery allows you to order photo printing online! Kodak Gallery is currently the leading website for storing and printing digital photos. It started out as Ofoto back in 1999. Then Kodak decided to get in on the online photo action, purchased the site and expanded the offerings to include a number of photo-related products and services. How does Kodak's online enterprise compare to the competition? That's what we set out to find out during our online photo printing reviews. Here is what you need to know.
What's New?
- Free Photo Storage for 12 Months
- 20 Free Prints Upon Sign Up
- Members-Only Discounts and Photography Tips
Star Reviews' Favorite Feature:
We really like the fact that Kodak Gallery offers unique customized products not available on any other site, such as ties, aprons, and baby clothing. If you're looking for something different, Kodak Gallery is the place to go.
The Kodak Gallery Experience:
The Kodak Gallery website was impressive. The homepage loads quickly and features a bright, attractive color scheme. You are given the option of signing up for an account or browsing the website first, which is great for those who don't like to part with personal information prior to knowing what they're signing up for.
Navigation was intuitive. The features of the site, such as uploading pictures and buying prints, can be accessed using the tabs at the top of the page. The tabs make it easy to log in to your account information and check the status of your shopping cart and already-placed orders while browsing. The Help link in the corner of the page has a detailed list of questions to help you with the photo process.
The sign-up is simple and straightforward. No twenty-questions here. You just enter your name and address to get an account, which means you don’t have to reveal any personal details such as your credit card number, address, or birth date. Better yet, registration doesn't cost a dime.
If you do choose to sign up for membership with Kodak Gallery, you are awarded 20 free 4x6 prints. This is so helpful for those of us who like to see the quality of a company's prints before actually dishing out our hard-earned cash (although Kodak is notorious for good print quality anyway).
New members should be sure to check out the section called Kodak Gallery 101. It contains a number of video tutorials you can watch to learn how to use the website features. Kodak Gallery Features:

Kodak Gallery Customer Service:
The Help section of the website contains a list of the Top 5 Most Commonly Asked Questions, as well as a feature that allows you to search the entire contents of the Help manual. The complete FAQ list includes a wealth of new user info including information on uploading photos, prices, shipping, gallery prints, film processing, and other useful information.
In addition to online information, Kodak Gallery also offers toll-free phone support seven days a week from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Time. When we placed a call to phone support we had very little hold time and the rep we spoke with was very helpful.
Free e-mail support is available 24/7, although when we tried to access the e-mail support we were told our address was “not valid" both times we tried.
Upside:
Low prices, customer service available 7 days a week, quick and easy sign up.
Downside:
Kodak Gallery does not offer the personal, intimate feel of smaller photo sites.
