With extra time this afternoon, we caught up on our magazine subscription service reviews. Star Reviews spidered through Magazine Agent and were immediately impressed by their website interface. We weren’t inundated with tons of text or flashing graphics, so that made us happy. Instead, our team found useful links, featured titles with images and intuitive site links. To get the gist of this site, continue on below.

Navigating the Magazine Agent website:
We were impressed by the simple site navigation available through Magazine Agent. There is nothing worse than being confused when you’re trying to shop and this site is hands down user-friendly. There are various categories such as ‘Bridal,’ ‘Automotive,’ ‘Hunting & Fishing,’ and ‘Teens.’ When clicking through some of these, we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to pick out titles we wanted. If you opt to use their search box, expect to find quick results or to be taken directly to the title detail description, which is what happened to us when we typed in People. Their search functions are some of the best we’ve come across in our magazine subscription service reviews.
Selection:
We loved Magazine Agent’s extensive title collection, as it covered what we would have hoped to see. A big plus to this site was their Gift Center, which pulls up varying categories of suggested gift purchases ‘For Him or Her,’ ‘Parents,’ ‘Kids,’ etc. This is definitely a great way to stumble upon a title you may not think of yourself. We also loved the Top Sellers list and A-Z Listing, which completely blew us away in its sweeping assortment of magazines.
Subscription Rates:
Overall, we felt this site had comparable pricing to the other magazine subscription services we looked at. We even saw some titles that were 75-80% off their cover prices. Talk about a bargain! If you choose to subscribe, check out is simple enough, without any harassments to order more or questions of what extras their partners can email you. There are no shipping, processing or tax fees and they also ask for your permission before sharing information with third parties, which is rare. No need to worry about fine print here, which 6Star Reviews likes.

Customer Support:
When we looked at the customer service page, we were given two options. Existing Magazine Agent members could enter their email for access to their accounts, or you could click to find your magazine publisher if you subscribed outside of the service. You can send an email for a response within 48 hours or you can dial their support number 24/7 for any questions, both of which responded efficiently in ample time to Star Reviews.
Magazine Agent is very helpful and thorough, even at the wee hours of the morning. The only problem we encountered is the inability of a site visitor to contact email support unless they’re a registered member. They can, however, find the telephone support line.
Upside: Very descriptive product details and helpful customer service. Affordable subscription rates.
Downside: No price match guarantee like some discount magazine subscription websites.
Summary:
Overall, we were pretty happy with Magazine Agent, as they offered an extensive collection of magazine titles with fun gift purchase ideas. We felt their site was very user-friendly and all of the searches we made through their site satisfied us. Their pricing scheme was great as well, offering comparable or lower prices than a lot of their competitors. We loved how detailed their product descriptions were complete with customer reviews, as well as their customer support options. They’re a great choice in magazine subscription services.
