MaxEmail provides for fax and voice mail services for the fax messages. The fax messages are emailed so that you can view them anywhere at your own convenience.
MaxEmail provides for three kinds of services 'Internet Fax Service Solutions', 'Voice Mail to Email Solutions' and 'Corporate Fax Solutions'.
Internet fax services allow you to send and receive faxes from your computer without a fax machine or phone line.
Using Voice Mail to Email Solutions, you can retrieve voicemail messages by phone or have them sent to you by email as digital audio files.
Under Corporate Fax Solutions, MaxEmail provides for Multi-user and high volume Internet fax accounts with central administraion and billing.
Also the website offers for 30 day Free Trial. Using Free trial and providing area code on the website, you can get started to evaluate the service in few minutes. MaxEmail supports over 150 area codes.

Its worth trying. I give it 4 star rating.

Remember how convenient we thought fax machines would be when they first came out? No more waiting for the postal service. Just use your phone line to send a document. Then those horrible, temperamental monstrosities began having paper problems, ink problems, technical problems...eFaxing services help us avoid all of these headaches. MaxEmail was one of the stops we made along our reviewing way, and here's what we found.

Star Reviews Favorite Feature:

We really like that MaxEmail isn't just a fax service, they also include voice mail in their plans. Don't want to give someone your home number? Give them your MaxEmail number instead and pick up your voice mail from the Internet. It's a really handy feature.

The MaxEmail Experience:

The MaxEmail website does make it easy to sign up for their eFaxing service and was quite different from most of the other sites of their kind we looked at. When you hit the homepage, you select your area code for your local fax number. We were hoping that this would allow you to see if local numbers were available without navigating through the site. Alas, it wasn't the case.

We selected the 262 area code for Kenosha, Wisconsin. We were excited to see it was available (or so we thought), and clicked the “continue” button. That's when we got the message saying “we do not currently offer services in the 262 area code.” Our irritation meter was started.

Our irritation level went up a few notches a moment later when we realized we were still being offered service, but with an “815” area code. Not only was that area code not in the county we selected, it wasn't even in the same state. So much for local service. Although they did offer us a toll-free number, it cost a heck of a lot more than the local number we were trying for. A whopping 10 cents per fax page and/or voice mail received in addition to the regular subscription fees. Upsell, anyone?

MaxEmail Pricing:

MaxEmail pricing, while great at first glance, really needs to be looked at closely. Online storage for longer than 30 days costs extra as does caller ID for your voice mail. Of course, there are also activation fees to consider. The website says they're 60% cheaper than the competition. We just weren't seeing it.

MaxEmail Lite is $24.00 per year with a $10.00 activation fee and includes:

A dedicated fax number (but you don't get to pick the area code).
500 inbound fax pages/voice mail messages (additional pages are 5 cents each).
30-day online fax/message storage.
There are no outbound fax pages included. Per-page fees vary by country.

MaxEmail Plus is $9.95 per month (or $24 quarterly or $84 annually) with a $10.00 activation fee and includes:

A dedicated fax number (you get to pick the area code).
250 inbound fax pages/voice mail messages (additional pages are 5 cents each).
30-day online fax/message storage.
There are no outbound fax pages included. Per-page fees vary by country.

MaxEmail Corporate Lite is $39.95 per month with no activation fee and includes:

3 dedicated fax numbers (you get to pick the area code).
600 inbound fax pages/voice mail messages (additional pages are 2 cents each).
30-day online fax/message storage.
There are no outbound fax pages included. Per-page fees vary by country.

MaxEmail Corporate is $104.50 per month with no activation fee and includes:

10 dedicated fax numbers (you get to pick the area code).
2,000 inbound fax pages/voice mail messages (additional pages are 1 cent each).
30-day online fax/message storage.
There are no outbound fax pages included. Per-page fees vary by country.

Maxemail Customer Support:

MaxEmail offers customer service via an online FAQ and an email submission form. We found the FAQ to be rather limited in its answers. There are many FAQ links to choose from, but filtering through them to find the answer you're actually looking for may prove to be a challenge. Email support was also sub par. It took 2 full days before we received a response and the answer we got didn't at all address our question. We wanted to know what the fees were for sending fax pages. We got a generic “fees vary by country” answer. Not what we had hoped for.

Upside:

Multiple plans to choose from, voice mail included.

Downside:

Pricing and support issues.
