I had this program on my old computer and it never did anything it was supposed to. I always obtained new and harmful spyware and even viruses on my computer that just absolutely ruined it. The program was constantly being updated and it still seemed like it couldn't do what it was supposed to. The worst part about it was that whenever it ran a scan, it took 7-8 hours and completely bogged down my entire computer. I couldn't do anything on my computer until the program was completed. I do not recommend this product to anyone.

Overall I have never been satisfied with Mc Afee. The first big complaint I have about McAfee is the overall effectiveness of the actually security itself. While still within the first 30 days I receive three spyware infections on my computer. With having an internet security system you should feel safe surfing the web, and after the first two weeks of having I no longer felt safe. I get this service for free by being an AOL member and I love it.  I have been using it for several years now and have had ZERO incidents with my PC getting any viruses, etc.  It catches all the spyware and trojans/etc. and lets you know it.  It auto-deletes these sneaky files too.  It updates sometimes more than once a day, and that is a little annoying depending on the way you have your settings (can interrupt you when you are using your PC), but that is a small price to pay for awesome and FREE internet security.  Having cable internet, I am always online and can not imagine not having some sort of online security.  I would recommend this to everyone.
