When we first landed on the Lending Tree website, we were very impressed with their clean website feel. There are a ton of resources here, but you never feel overwhelmed sifting through them.
First of all, Lending Tree is not a mortgage refinance loan service for the faint at heart. The application is long and quite in-depth. But, you will be given online quotes from up to four different lenders, which is an added perk.

When we first navigated our way onto the LoanApp website, we were pleased with the large amount of information and resources displayed down the left margin of the page. If you need financial resources, this is a good site to find them on.
This site doesn't provide mortgage refinance loans directly, but doesn't really hide the fact, either. There is a free, no-obligations quote, which is then matched with compatible lenders akin to your loan needs.

When we first landed on the Ditech website, we didn't think it 'looked' like a mortgage refinance service, but they do offer these along with things like home equity loans and home purchasing resources.
We really liked the free eAppraisal service, which allows you to analyze your home value before you even apply for a mortgage refinance loan.

Star Reviews thought the Ditech mortgage refinance loan application was pretty easy to fill out, but certainly time consuming. You must first register with Ditech and then navigate through several pages in order to complete the application process. It is not a one-page application process, as with some of their competitors. But, we liked that they offer fixed rate mortgage refinance loans and EZ Loan interest-only options. Customer support by way of telephone wasn't pleasant here, as the reps we spoke with weren't very friendly. We were even 'disconnected' at one point, which left us a little perturbed. All in all, Ditech earned 4.5 Stars!

First impressions aren't always accurate, and LowerMyBills taught us this important lesson. We immediately loved how basic, yet resourceful their website was, complete with loan resources, tips and articles.
Finding mortgage refinance loan information wasn't the easiest on this site and our experience filling out their online form was less than ideal. We were taken to numerous pages, each asking for personal information...only to be brought to a page which had 'problems processing our request.'

Star Reviews didn't appreciate how difficult it was to find straightforward answers as to whether or not LowerMyBills was a direct lender itself or not. They aren't. After receiving an error processing our online application form, we called the 1-800 customer support, which gave us a 'canned' response. It turns out that LowerMyBills hands your inquiry over to multiple lenders who call you. But, they don't offer lender reviews like some of their competiton does. Live chat support wouldn't connect and email support didn't respond to us. Needless to say, our experience here wasn't ideal. They get 3.5 Stars!
