Star Reviews Favorite Feature:

The "Ready To Play" feature that allows you to watch a movie before the download is over proved to be very useful.

Movie Selection:

Movielink literally has something for everyone. Movies just released on DVD, flicks from the 60's, they can all be found in the Movielink catalog. Episodes from your favorite television shows are also available for download.

How It Works

Unlike many of the other movie download services, Movielink does not require a subscription fee of any kind. Simply browse through the movies available at the Movielink website and begin purchasing or renting the movies you're interested in seeing.

We found the layout of the Movielink website to be very intuitive and finding the movies we were interested in seeing took mere minutes. We were required to download the Movielink Manager software before we could download a movie, but download and installation of the application took less than five minutes.

Once Movielink manager was downloaded to our PC, watching movies was fast and easy. While the time to download an entire movie was more than two hours, we did not have to wait that entire period of time.  The Movielink software allowed us to begin watching the movie before the entire download was complete (about five minutes after download began).

Pricing Plan:

Customer Support:

Movielink offers numerous forms of customer support, including a FAQ section, email support and chat help. The Movielink FAQ section was quite comprehensive and offered numerous help categories. To access chat support, you need to register at the Movielink website. Once we had registered, we waited less than three minutes for a representative.  Our rep was very helpful and answered our questions knowledgeably and thoroughly. Our email support question was also answered in a timely manner (within 1 business day) and the answer we received via email was also very helpful.

Upside:

No monthly subscription fee.

Downside:

Long download times and you can buy DVDs in the store for the prices charged at the website.

Summary:

What a pleasant experience we had on the Movielink website! We were thrilled at the number of movie downloads offered, and noticed some brand new titles that were just released here. Rental costs begin at $1.99 a download, which is very low and most new users will find this cost refreshing. While you do need to check your PC requirements in order to download movies, there isn't too much you need to do in order to get started. The download times are a bit lengthy, so give yourself enough time to fully transfer those files. We recommend their service!
