I created a MySpace account simply so I could view my friends' pages, but I don't use it beyond that.  The page gets spammed, and I get all sorts of SPAM from the site in my email folder.  Fake people are always trying to 'add' you as a friend.  I also just don't like the MySpace community.  There is so much raunchy stuff on there that I'm always hesitant to click on someone's page.  It's difficult to search for people on there, too.  I've never had much luck with it, even when I know all of their basic information.  I don't think I'll ever be a regular MySpace user, and I definitely won't let my kids on it.  I know some people love it, but it's not for me.

As we all know Myspace has come under heavy fire from the press and some angry parents in the past, but I feel that social impact that Myspace has provided outweighs the trouble it "possibly" created. Since I have created a Myspace account I have got in touch with my Grandfather, step-mother, and step-sister that I haven't seen in almost ten years. As well as, countless number of past friends that have I have previously lost contact with. Another great part is, you have a way to show your creative side, and with counless number of Myspace page generators out there the limitless possiblilities are made easy. Personally, my favorite part about having a Myspace account is being able to have constant band updates. It's so easy to know when one of my favorite bands are coming to concert near me, what type of progress they are making on a new CD, or just constant updates from them on the rode. Myspace is the best social lubricant since alcohol. Seriously who doesn't have a Myspace?

I know that MySpace is one of the most popular social networking websites, but I have really like that much.  I joined because my younger brother, who travels constantly, is a member.  He posts pictures and blogs about the news in his life, so I like being able to see what's going on with him.  But I haven't used it for anything other than that.  Whenever I log into MySpace, I usually experience problems with my computer.  It will either freeze or become extremely slow.  I'm not sure that MySpace is the cause, but I usually don't have that problem.
