Popular Choice: No Annual Fee Credit Cards
|
 |
|
Credit cards with outrageous annual fees and mile-high interest rates are slowly declining in popularity, as more people realize the benefits behind no annual fee credit cards. Why pay to spend with a card when the card issuer already wins from your weekend splurge at Nordstrom's?

When we came across the Discover More Card when looking for the best no annual fee credit cards, we have to say we were impressed!
If you have good credit and want a card with cash-back rewards, this quite possibly may be the perfect choice for you. They even offer you up to 5 percent cash back in some categories!
- Rewards ranging from 0.25 percent to 5 percent depending on where you are making the purchase and your account activity.
-
$40 cashback bonus
when you apply, are approved and spend $500 in the first 3 months!
Our team really liked the Discover More Card for its many cardholder benefits like fraud and security protection, discounts on products and services at participating merchants and unique credit card designs. While their site layout wasn't the most fluid, it shouldn't be too difficult to navigate or sign up for the no annual fee credit card.
There is a 0-percent intro APR for 12 months on purchases and balance transfers, which is great. There is also a 25-day grace period and $15 over-the-limit fee, so keep that in mind. But, customer support by way of telephone should answer your questions, although we noticed their response was rather canned. If you should need it, there are online FAQs. For all of their features and card perks, they win our Top Rated spot and we give them 6.0 Stars!

Star Reviews looked at the Blue Cash from American Express next and immediately noticed that there was no set limit on the number of cash-back rewards you may earn. What a perk!
Blue Cash was also named as the best cash rebate credit card by Kiplinger's Personal Finance. This has to say something.
-
Built-in ExpressPay-
make purchases without having to swipe the credit card.
-
5-percent cash back
on qualifying everyday purchases and 1.5-percent cash back on all other purchases.
- APR - As low as 9.99%*
Our team admired how simple it was to navigate the Blue Cash From American Express website. The page had a quick load time (which isn't always the case with credit card sites), had a user-friendly application and displayed important terms and conditions in plain view. There is a 20-day grace period here, but be cautious of the $35 over-the-limit fee. There is a 0% Intro APR for 6 Months. There is helpful telephone support here, and a good FAQs database, so we feel this warrants them 5.5 Stars!

When our team investigated the Discover Open Road Card no annual fee credit card, we found it to be a great choice if you'd like to save on an absent yearly rate and great card benefits.
First of all, we liked the 5% cash rebate perk for cardholders, which is especially helpful when gas prices fluctuate in the manner we've become accustomed to.
-
0.25 to 1 percent cash back
on all other purchases besides gas.
- Up to $500,000 in travel accident insurance.
Star Reviews likes any no annual fee credit card that makes it easy for you to keep your hard-earned money where it belongs: in your bank account or wallet. This is why we really appreciated the Discover Open Road Card and its 5% cash rebate on gas purchases. Besides offering common card benefits like $0 liability on unauthorized credit card transactions, online account access and auto rental insurance, we liked the 0% intro APR on purchases until April 2008 and balance transfers until October 2008. There is a 25-day grace period and customer support is good, although our telephone rep gave us a bit of a canned response. All in all, we feel they deserve 5.0 Stars!

We were pleasantly surprised with the Miles by Discover Card no annual fee credit card and think it's the perfect choice for any frequent traveler.
Not only does this card offer you double miles on up to $3,000 of travel purchases and one mile for every dollar spent on general purchases, cardholders receive 1,000 bonus miles for each month they use their card in the first year.
-
Redeemable miles at most major U.S. airlines with no blackout dates
-
1 mile for every $1 you spend
Star Reviews thinks the Miles by Discover Card website is pretty simple and straightforward to figure out and the online credit application was easily-accessible from the homepage. Besides offering great travel perks, this no annual fee credit card is currently offering a 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers for 12 months.
There is a 25-day grace period, which is longer than some of their competition's, and over-the-limit fees on balances up to $500 are $15, a pretty common rate. There is telephone support here, but you may have to punch in a few buttons before speaking to a live rep. The FAQs section is good, but email support is only for registered card holders. Overall, they receive 5.0 Stars!

When we examined the Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa, we noticed that this no annual fee credit card is perfect for those with good credit, who want a flexible rewards program
These points can then be redeemed for airline tickets, hotel stays, merchandise, gift certificates and more, which of course our team loved!
- Unauthorized transactions incur no liability
- One point per dollar spent
We noticed how user-friendly the Chase website was, but we did need to disable our pop-up blocker in order to access the online application. If you need to skim over the terms and conditions, these can be found in the fine print at the bottom of the page. The Chase Flexible Rewards Platinum Visa is currently offering a 0-percent introductory rate for up to 12 months on purchases and balance transfers. There is also a 20-day grace period, but keep in mind the $35 over-the-limit fee. If you should need customer support, it is efficient and readily available by means of telephone, email and a FAQs section. While cardholders with less than stellar credit may take on a higher APR, we think this card is an overall good choice. They get 4.5 Stars!
