RealEstate.com was one of the most unique real estate services we came across. We were very impressed with the "street view" tours that let us "drive" down the streets of the homes we were interested in seeing. The free home value estimator was also priceless, considering the fact that many websites charge $100 or more for the very same thing. - Local community information available.
- 7-day free trial to search foreclosure listings.
- Find homes using a street view.
If you're interested in foreclosure properties, RealEstate.com is the place to be. Not only do they have foreclosure listings, but they have foreclosure auction information, birds-eye property views, parcel numbers and other important foreclosure research tools. It does cost about $50 a month to access this data, but you can get a 7-day free trial to make sure the price is worth it. Overall we have to say that RealEstate.com offered some of the most unique tools and some of the most helpful resources. It's a must-see site for anyone interested in buying a home. We give them 5.5 Stars!

Owners.com is the largest For Sale By Owner (FSBO) website on the Internet. They help bring buyers and sellers together, without the use of agents. Although this has benefits for both buyers and sellers, it also means that you have to get your own legal papers together (unless you want to hire a lawyer). - Free listing on Owners.com.
- Flat-fee for listing on MLS and Realtor.com.
- Search for foreclosures.
To help you with this, Owners.com also has a resources section where you can find information on obtaining your forms and contracts. If you buy the Flat Fee MLS Pro, they will give you the forms and contracts that you need. For home sellers, Owners.com allows you to place your listing on their website for free. You can also place your listing with the MLS and on Realtor.com for a reasonable flat fee. If you are an investor or a home buyer looking to get a bargain, you can search foreclosure listings by zip code. They also have a forum where buyers and sellers can get together to ask and answer questions about the home buying process. Although there are not a lot of flashy features like on other websites, Owners.com provides a very valuable service that benefits home sellers and home buyers, alike. They earn 5.0 Stars!

Yahoo! Real Estate isn't the biggest real estate website on the Internet. It's not even the best. It is, however, a must-see site if you want to find a home, sell your home without the help of an agent or find out what the local real estate market is doing in your area. - Real estate market snapshots.
- Mortgage rate information and payment calculators.
- Rate and trend analysis.
We found the site offered a wealth of informational resources. Just from hitting the home page we were able to see how home sales were doing in our area, how many foreclosures there had been and how home values were doing. In addition to offering more than 3 million listings for home buyers to look through, sellers can put their property up for sale for less than $50. When trying to sell a home, exposure is everything. Yahoo! Real Estate can get you the exposure you need, and they do it for a lot less than you'd end up paying a real estate agent. The only problem with the site is the complete lack of customer support. Sure the site offers valuable tools and resources and dirt-cheap property listing. What happens if you need help? What happens if you run into a glitch? Yahoo! does not have that base covered. Until they do, they won't really be able to compete with the bigger real estate websites. Star Reviews gives them 4.0 Stars!

If you're a buyer who wants to perform some basic real estate research or find a home for sale, Homescape is definitely a site you want to check out. If, however, you want to sell your home or use a site that has some semblance of customer support, you'd best look elsewhere. - Find out what your home is worth.
- Search foreclosures.
- Local market snapshots.
The site definitely offers some useful tools, like a local market snapshot, home valuations and thousands of listings to browse through. The problem is that the pages don't work if you want to sell your home and customer service is pretty much nonexistent. Is Homescape.com the best real estate website on the Internet. Absolutely not. Does it serve a purpose? Yes. If you want to find a home or perform some market/neighborhood research, this is one of the sites you'll want to check out. They earn 3.0 Stars!
