Our Favorite RedEnvelope Feature:

Our favorite feature of the RedEnvelope.com website is the way the products are categorized. You can shop “For Her”, “For Him”, “For Baby”, “For Birthday”, or “By Occasion”. This is a great way to find the perfect gift no matter who you are shopping for or what the occasion is. There is also a category just for Jewelry and one for Specials. The Specials section is a great place to shop when you are looking for high quality merchandise at a discount price.

The RedEnvelope Experience:

RedEnvelope.com is a very well-organized online gift store. The website sells many different types of products such as decorative accessories for the home, bathroom accessories and home spa products, business gifts and corporate gifts, bar accessories and wine, gadgets and tools, clothing and apparel, office accessories, travel items, and much more.

The return and refund policy listed is unclear as it appears that if you are unsatisfied with your purchase you are only eligible to receive an exchange or a gift card from RedEnvelope. It would obviously be better if customers could receive a full refund if they are unhappy with their purchases and they return them within the thirty days allotted for returns.

RedEnvelope.com has a great selection of merchandise in a variety of categories. The website is known for personalization on many different products. This makes for a very personal gift-giving experience, especially if you were looking for unique gifts. RedEnvelope also provides gift wrapping with their signature red box with a white bow for a beautiful presentation to the recipient.

Customer Service:

RedEnvelope offers several ways to connect with Customer Service including Live Chat, Email, and a toll free phone number. We tried out the Live Chat feature and we were able to connect with a representative within just a few seconds. The main drawback of the Live Chat feature is that you have to provide an email address. The representative was very slow to answer my questions and as far as ‘customer service’ goes, it was not a pleasant experience overall. We never did receive a straightforward answer to our questions.

Upside:

RedEnvelope.com has a great selection of high quality gifts and gadgets, personalized gifts, unique gifts, corporate gifts, and more. The prices on many products are very reasonable and affordable for the average consumer.

Downside:

The Customer Service at RedEnvelope.com needs improvement. The return and refund policies are very unclear. Unlike other online gift stores, RedEnvelope does not list their shipping costs upfront so you will not know how much shipping charges are until you place your order.
