User Interface and Product Application:
The installation of Registry Mechanic was fast and simple. We didn't run into any complications at all. Once we had the program up and running, it was easy to operate and novice users should find Registry Mechanic to be very user-friendly. We were able to configure the application to run a full registry scan each time Windows was started on our system, making it very convenient to keep our computer in optimal operating condition.
The only downside to the product was that it did not give us direct access to errors on our registry. Instead it provided the paths to the registry, requiring us to access the errors manually.

We really liked the fact that Registry Mechanic didn't just delete broken paths or links. Instead, it would determine if a repair was possible, and if so would perform the repair rather than a deletion.

Customer Support:
Registry Mechanic surprised us with a very user-friendly, intuitive online FAQ database. This section proved to be very helpful in answering any of our questions. Star Reviews also like the online forum that PC Tools has. Interact with other PCTools customers and find out about their thoughts, experiences, questions and concerns!
Online support aside, when we submitted our request to technical support, via an online form, an automatic response notifying us of our request was received within minutes. However, an actual response from a technical support representative was not received until four days later. Although the response time was not ideal, the answer we did receive was knowledgeable and thorough.
Upside:
Very easy to operate and great for novice users. Worry-free download and simplistic install.
Downside:
Advanced users may find the product lacking in customization and technical support delays may cause frustration. Customer support response time needs improvement.
