A rep of this company booked a presentation for four of us (me and my wife and another couple). As reward, we got discount on a gift. Last Sunday we drove to SF fisherman's wharf Shell vacations, they rescheduled me and my wife because she forgot to bring her ID, and allowed my friends to complete the show. Today we went to the company with all the documents they requested, and they claimed we are not qualified. We told them we had gone through qualification check twice and no question were brought up before. They promised they will fix this mistake tomorrow because the manager is off on Sunday. But I checked my credit card today and just found out they actually already charged me for full gift prices two days ago, even including the money for my friends who had already did the presentation. This is absolutely cheating!!! From all the experiences that I had with Shell, I really feel this company is unfriendly, dishonest, not worth a bit trust. All they care is to dig out more money from you and me. After reading all these complaints, I realized that I am lucky that this thing happened early so we can see their real face. I will never ever think about their so-called "beneficial" programs even though I love traveling around.

We purchased our SVC membership at the Kona Coast, Hawaii (gorgeous resort) in August, 2008. Though the pitch was pushy and it was difficult getting the SVC Visa hooked up to a USA bank account (we're from Canada, ehh), everything now is looking much more positive.
I have engaged their support several times and every time I'm very impressed with the level of help and response. We just booked our first RCI exchanged and with a minimal wait we landed exactly what we were looking for.
As for price, I don't think SVC is over the top. We also own Disney Vacation Club points and SVC is very comparable (couple hundred bucks cheaper than DVC on a 2BR RCI exchange).
So overall, I'm very pleased with my SVC purchase and the people I have dealt with. Their main fault is the sales delivery and how they tend to corner you in, which is a complete contrast to the amazing sales experience we had with Disney. But I feel I've weathered the storm and all my ducks are in a row for a lifetime of great vacations.

This vacation club is not my cup of tea!

During my most recent search for vacations, I stumbled upon this site for the vacation club. The site is easy to navigate and the customer service seems friendly, even though a little pushy on the phone. However the prices that they wanted for their packages was extremely pricey. I asked them if they are able to work a better deal, since I know I can get something better with expedia or the other online services. They mentioned no, and that I would not be able to find a better rate then them. I was very disappointed through their services and hopes that others do not waste your time with this company as I have.
