When you know what you want

What is great about Stubhub is the ability to find tickets when a concert, game or event has sold out. Although individuals seem to charge any price they want, if you are willing to pay then you can get great seats to an unforgettable event.

I just used Stubhub to get football tickets for my husband. I will report back once I make sure I get the tickets.

Good Experience at Stubhub

I have used Stubhub twice now for online tickets, once for a Yankee game at the stadium and once for the Jet v. Dolphins game coming up next week. I haven't looked too hard at the other brokers but Stubhub always seems to have the a big selection of tickets. I think they charge 10% commission which isn't unreasonable.

The Yankees won and if the Jets will ... they I am with Stubhub for life.

Sports fans know that getting the best sports tickets can sometimes be challenging, to say the least. After all, the best tickets for sporting events are often sold out months in advance. Thanks to online ticket sales, however, getting entrance to the hottest games of the season doesn't have to be next to impossible. One interesting site we came across is StubHub, which offers a bit of a different site concept than their competitors. Read on for the inside scoop below.

About StubHub
StubHub is an online marketplace where consumers can buy and sell tickets at fair market value, with StubHub charging reasonable commission fees. Using a patent-pending delivery system called FanNetworkSM, StubHub provides a safe environment to buy and sell tickets to games, concerts, theater and other live entertainment events.

StubHub also offers a FanProtect Guarantee for buyers and sellers. Sellers on the StubHub website are guaranteed that they will never be contacted directly by a buyer or prospective buyer, will be able to adjust their ticket prices at any time prior to selling them and will receive payment from StubHub for all tickets sold via the site. Buyers are guaranteed to get their tickets (which are guaranteed to be authentic) in time for the event and that the tickets will be exactly what was ordered (or better).

The StubHub website also features other interesting sections, such as the “Fan Stories” pages that showcase real-life stories about the experiences of buyers and sellers. The StubHub Exclusives page is also unique and is a great way to get VIP access to the hottest events with all-inclusive packages and premium tickets.

Selection:
StubHub offers tickets to sports games, theater shows, concerts and other live entertainment events across the country. Currently, StubHub is offering tickets to the Stanley Cup, MLB games, Beyonce Premium Packages and more.

Charges:
StubHub charges a 10 percent commission to buy tickets on their website and a 15 percent commission to sell tickets.

Selling Your Tickets:
StubHub allows ticket holders to sell their tickets via the website. You can sell your tickets in either a "fixed price" or "auction" format. StubHub charges a 15 percent commission to sell your tickets, so if you sell your tickets for $100, StubHub will receive $15 of that amount.

Return Policy:
StubHub does not offer a return or refund policy. If an event that you purchase tickets to is canceled, StubHub will send you an email letting you know if the cancellation warrants a refund. If you receive such an email, you must return your tickets within two weeks of receiving it to be eligible for the refund.

Customer Support:
StubHub offers customer support via online email submission form, a toll-free phone number and a comprehensive FAQ database. When we dialed the toll-free customer service number, the representative we spoke with was very helpful and was able to answer our questions quickly and knowledgeably. The FAQ database also proved to be a valuable resource. Our email inquiry, however, was not answered due to the fact that it bounced back to us as undeliverable.

Upside:
FanProtect services guarantee peace of mind for both buyers and sellers, reasonable fees.

Downside:
Buyers cannot see the seat numbers for certain event tickets they are interested in buying.
