We're glad we found the online tax preparation service TaxBrain, as it offers customers great features and a resourceful site feel.
This site's tax preparation tools were quite user-friendly and should you run into any roadblocks, there are helpful links to support and online tax help. Star Reviews also loved how many return options there were, as TaxBrain offers a comprehensive catalog for business and personal tax preparation options.

Star Reviews loves any site or service that stands behind its product, and we were happy to find that TaxBrain promises their customers an accuracy guarantee or they will refund all your money and cover interest or penalties, if that is the case. This tax service is a little different, in that pricing is based on form filed, such that a 1040EZ is $19.95.
We thought their pricing was somewhat reasonable for the amount of features and ease-of-mind they provide. Live chat and email support were on cue, but telephone support placed us on hold for 20 minutes, so our team didn't appreciate this. But, they offer wonderful tax filing services, winning them our Top Rated spot. TaxBrain gets 5.5 Stars!

Tax filing service CompleteTax has a very fluid website feel, as well as user-friendly search mechanisms.
There are helpful links, visually-appealing graphics and plenty of resources without being overbearing. CompleteTax stands out from their tax return service competitors by solely offering online tax preparation and bypassing the desktop software programs some are used to.

No Credit Card Option-Have the service price deducted straight from your return. This is great news for those already strapped for cash!

Star Reviews loved that this tax filing service was focused on their customers who desire a simple, yet intuitive tax return process online. Their fee isn't the lowest we've come across, but at $25.95 for basic service, we feel its features outweigh its price. Customer support wasn't as readily available as our team usually expects, as telephone and email support were non-existent. There is a helpful FAQs database, but their live chat is only available to current customers. However, all of this site's features still win it our Most Popular spot. They deserve their 5.0 Stars!

We looked at H&R Block's TaxCut online tax preparation service and were pretty impressed by their user interface and the fluidity of the site layout.
Star Reviews appreciated how simple it was to find their pricing schemes, as software and online tax filing services were clearly separated. No questions here! We also enjoyed the vibrant colors, black and green, that makes the strip mall tax store recognizable from a mile away.

Overall, we feel that TaxCut offers its customers a simple-to-fill out tax preparation process. However, if you need to take a break and leave the return open on your PC for more than 10 minutes, you may get logged out for security purposes. But, the entire process is pretty quick and self-explanatory. Pricing is $14.95 for basic service, which we feel is pretty reasonable. Customer support is ok, but our email response seemed a bit canned and irrelevant. Telephone support gave us a great response, but put us on hold for over five minutes to give us a confirmation number. We give this service 5.0 Stars!

When comparing online tax filing services, we thought TurboTax held its own, boasting a simple, yet intuitive website interface.
Their tax packages were displayed in full view on the center page, allowing for quick access and an effortless signup process. Star Reviews always applauds services that make their pricing options visible, as no one wants to dig around for such important information.

We feel that TurboTax is a leader in the tax filing software industry and does offer a decent online tax filing service. However, the process may be a little advanced for filers that aren't too knowledgable about the Internet. But, there are help tools and the process goes by pretty quickly. Their fee for a basic return is $29.95, which is a little pricey when compared to other services. Email support was on point and while telephone support was good, our rep had a thick accent, which made communication difficult. The chat option wouldn't load for our team. We think they deserve 5.0 Stars!
