If you run a computer without an Internet security application, you're just asking for trouble. Without proper Internet security tools, you open yourself up to viruses, stolen data, privacy invasion and even identity theft. Fortunately, there is comprehensive Internet security programs that will keep you well protected. But which ones really cut the mustard and which are nothing but a waste of computer space?

Star Reviews compared Internet security tools to find out which ones did what they promised and which left something to be desired. While conducting our Internet security software reviews, Trend Micro was one of the first products we researched and tested. User Interface and Product Application:

The download and installation process was seamless and took less than 15 minutes. Once the program was installed, the interface proved to be very user-friendly and implementing the Trend Secure features such as Remote File Lock and Transaction Guard also took little to no effort.

Trend Micro proved to be a wonderful tool for our wireless network. The Home Network Control allowed us to customize the configuration for each of the three computers we installed it on. This too proved to be very intuitive and took little time. We were also surprised to find that someone had been trying to access our wireless network without authorization, which Trend Micro caught and put a stop to.

Instead of running an Internet security tool and a separate parental control product on your system, parents can now free up space by letting Trend Micro serve both functions.

Customer Support:

Trend Micro offers customer support via email, chat and phone. When we called the support phone number, our call was answered within 5 minutes. Our questions were answered promptly and to our satisfaction. The chat support function was also very quick and our session was immediate and helpful. We did send in a request via the email support form, but as of the time of this review, we had not yet received a response other than the confirmation email that the request had been received.

Upside:

A user friendly interface, live support and comprehensive protection.

Downside:

We did find it a bit hard to undo changes and adjust the settings when certain features were interfering with our Web browsing activities.

The Best Security software

I tried many kind of security and antivirus software but this one(Trend Micro)never failed me, now I'm using it for 8 years and renewing and upgrading every year.
I had Panda, Norton, Kaspersky, CA, McAfee and BitDefender under test and failed or too simple or slowed down the system.
I am selling software and computer parts with installation so that's easy to test them all. If You want to buy a good internet security go for Trend Micro.
