The Trend Micro Internet Security Pro Experience:

Installing Trend Micro Internet Security Pro was no problem at all. Yes, the process was a little time consuming, but overall we have to say it was seamless and uncomplicated. We didn't run into a single glitch and didn't have to restart our system to complete the install.

Once the program was up and running we found it to be streamlined and effective. We had no problem navigating the software's tools and features and we were very happy to see that Trend Micro Internet Security Pro did not bog our system down to a snail's pace when running the real-time scanner. Just be prepared that you will notice a significant system slowdown when the full system scan is running.

Other things that really stood out were the parental control features and remote file lock included with this year's release. The parental control tools are comparable to some of the stand-alone parental control products and the remote file lock is a wonderful safeguard should your laptop ever become lost or stolen.

And speaking of portable protection, the smartphone protection is definitely an added plus. So many Internet security companies are behind the times when it comes to smartphone protection. Trend Micro is not one of them. By including smartphone protection in this year's Internet Security Pro, they've made their product one of the most comprehensive your money can buy.

Trend Micro has a history of offering great customer service, and they didn't let us down in our recent encounters. We were able to access help via an online knowledge base and ticket submission system. Live chat and phone support were also available, and we were quickly connected to knowledgeable reps with very little wait time. All in all, our experience with their support department was definitely a positive one.

Full system scans will definitely slow your system down a bit.
