I almost forgot but if you log onto your vonage account online you can play with the voice quality/bandwidth that your vonage program uses.
Ive had vonage way before everyone caught on about Voice over Ip. It is great because all of my family is in new york. Phone companies charge you an arm and a leg for unlimited long distance and local. I believe i was paying as much as 80 dollars a month. I switched over to Vonage and saved 50 bucks and still have the same features I did with the phone company. Only thing that frustates me is that for some reason my monthly bill always flucuates a couple of cents and I am not aware as to why if i dont do anything othere then what i signed up for. I have been meaning to call and get this straightened out but overall im pleased wih my vonage service
I have been a vonage customer for over 2 years and I must say that I have very little complaints. As with any VOIP service your phone does not work (this is expected) but they do offer a feature that will forward all of your calls to another number when you have no connectivity. The only issue I have had with vonage is that when you use your computer for high bandwith activities (i.e. Downloading file or uploading them) the sound quality of the calls is horrible.
