Not worth the money for most people.

I had used a couple of online "diet" programs before, and the weight watchers site is pretty lacking, even in comparison to free sites like The Daily Plate @ Livestrong.com. I was interested in WW because of a friend who had success on it, but upon registering, I realized it is pretty bare bones - it tracks your calories, weight, measurements, and offers recipes and exercise tips. There is also a forum - ALL things you can get for free elsewhere! Don't get me wrong, if you are already a fan of WW and just want an online supplement to your weekly meetings, this is pretty good. Pretty much the only thing you can't get on free sites is the WW Points (tm) value - not worth it to ME, but your mileage may vary.

WeightWatchers works!

I remember when I first tried WeightWatchers, I wondered if it would work. It seemed kind of silly, what with the points system and all – and yet somehow, that was the brilliance of it. Measuring what you eat it points turns it into almost a game, trying to eat just the right amount of the right things to get your points where you want them. It seemed so absurd that I could eat cake at the end of the day as long as I ate salad the rest of the day – and yet, as the pounds came off, I began to wonder why not everyone does this. For a while I wondered if it was worth the price, and tried just counting the calories and fat I was eating manually, without using WeightWatchers, but doing it was such a pain, I immediately came back for the ease of use. If you’re looking to lose weight, look no further.
