Bogged down and hard to use
3
A friend turned me onto this site. I set up and account and filled out all the information. Then I wanted to start blogging and reviewing and stuff. I spent about an hour trying to figure out how to do this and finally had to email someone for help. The interface on this site is very confusing and hard to decipher with no real reason for it to be this way. I would not recommend this site to anyone but techies. It is obviously not designed for the uneducated (IT people would love it). It looks nice but it is not nice to deal with. Great place to go and read reviews and stuff but I won't be using it for a blog outlet.

Nice alternative

My first real blog was on Blogger, but I have used WordPress for some time now. I think it's a nice alternative to Blogger. It has lots of great themes, and is very well known (so it's high on the Google search engine, if driving traffic to your blog is important).
WordPress offers two sites, one is for free and the other is a paid service. I, of course, opted for the free site, because I'm not big time (yet), but I don't feel cheated. The paid service is more on the server side of things, and if you're not too techie, you'll be just happy with the free blog.
It's very simple to set up and start using. Really, once you know one blog, you know them all, so don't worry about a learning curve.
