With the price of everything steadily rising, it is nice to get a good deal every once in a while. Fortunately, the Internet has an abundance of websites more than willing to oblige. In fact, there are sites that have been founded specifically to give you a single deal each and every day. While some of them offer mere junk, others offer some fabulous finds. Which of these sites are the best daily deal sites on the Web? That's what the Star Reviews team set out to discover when performing the research for our daily deal site reviews. Yugster.com is one of the deal venues we researched. Here's what we uncovered...

Our Favorite Yugster Feature:

We loved that we could be notified of future Yugster deals by providing the site with our e-mail address. We could use that information to log in and go to the “Special Offer” section and buy the deals we wanted a full day before they hit the “Daily Deal” section of the website.

The Yugster Experience:

YUG is an acronym for Yours Until Gone, and that is exactly what this website offered us. On Yugster.com new deals go up for sale every day at 6AM EST. The deals that are placed on Yugster are priced lower than you would find them anywhere else (except for maybe if you were able to find the same item used selling on eBay … but that is a big maybe). The catch is that Yugster only has a certain amount of each item and once they are gone, they’re gone.

To make the deal even sweeter for registered Yugsters, they allowed us to log into the “Sneak Previews” section where we were able to see and buy tomorrow’s Yugster daily deal a full day before it went up for general sale on the website. What this means for non-registered Yugsters is that an item can sell out before it even gets to the daily deals page and, therefore, they will miss their chance to take advantage of this great deal.

We also discovered that there are other deals, besides just the daily deal, to be found at Yugster. We found Yugovers listed at the bottom of screen, which are recent daily deal items that have a few units left. We also found Yugbacks, which happen when Yugster brings back a popular item that sold out or an item that didn’t sell out, but the quantity leftover is too high to make it a Yugover.

Lastly, we found out about Yugdowns, which happen when Yugster needs to move items out of their warehouse to make room for new items. Basically, they start listing products at even lower prices until they are sold out. They keep doing this until they have moved all of the products they want to move. You will know when a Yugdown is taking place, because there will be an orange banner at the top of the website.

If you're a deal fanatic, this is definitely one site you want to check out. However, we have to recommend that you register for the site or you might miss out on the best daily deals of the bunch.

Yugster Pricing:

On the day that we visited the site, Yugter was selling the Logitech LX300 Cordless Bundle: Wireless Keyboard & Optical Mouse for $24.95. After a thorough price check, we found that the regular price of this item sits around $60-$70. That's a savings of more than 50-percent off!

Yugster Customer Service:

Yugster doesn't offer any live phone support, but they do offer customer service via an online email form. When we submitted our request to the company they got back to us with a helpful answer the very next day. While it's not stellar support by any means, it is average (or maybe even a bit above average) when compared to the competition.

Upside:

Daily deals, great prices on past deals that didn’t sell out, and notification of new daily deals before they go on sale.

Downside:

Once they’re gone, they’re gone!

For $250 I had to buy that flat screen today. I have purchased from Yugster and Woot before but this is the biggest buy I have made. It is westinghouse and I trust Yugster so lets see if the product is as good as it looks. I will keep you updated.

i am addicted to this site, i have only bought there twice but i have to check it every Am before i check CNN. internet crack ... i am addicted
