The AmeriSave website is laid out pretty well, but a good portion of the
second half of the website is lined with mortgage loan news and
mortgage loan types description. Although this is not necessarily bad,
we would prefer these sections to be used more to advertise to the
consumer the specific benefits that AmeriSave has to offer with respect
to their mortgage loans, such as the $1,000 on time closing guarantee
and home buyer privileges. We also noticed Google Ads on the front page
of this website, which we did not encounter on most of the other online
mortgage loan websites that we reviewed.
A great feature of the AmeriSave website, is the "Search Mortgage Loan
Rates" feature that is listed on the homepage, top left-hand side. Once
you input basic loan and property value information, you are taken to a
page that details all the loan products available. What is even better
is that the rate (including APR), payment, and closing costs are
displayed. You can then study the products available to narrow down
your choice of loan. Once you narrow down your choice, you select the
"Pre-Qualify" button to begin the application. There is also an FAQ
section on this results page.
Applying for a loan at AmeriSave is simple, but you do have to create a
user account. You therefore cannot see the entire mortgage loan
application. However, the application only takes about 10 minutes, so no
worries there. After you apply for the loan, you can see the rates and
closing costs for various termed mortgage loan that you selected. It is
here that you can utilize their Rate Lock feature to lock in that
interest rate. Further, by setting up an account, you are able to see
your updated loan status as you go through the home loan mortgage
process.

AmeriSave Pricing
There is a $35 fee to pull a consumer's credit record. Since AmeriSave is a direct certified lender, origination fees are a guaranteed amount. The origination fees vary by loan product and state.

When we called the customer service number, we were placed on hold for approximately one minute. However, during this time, we were given useful instructions on how to best use the AmeriSave website. After about one minute, we were transferred to a helpful and knowledgeable loan officer who also voluntarily walked the Star Review's team through the AmeriSave rate search feature.
There is also a live online chat feature, but you do not know this until you complete the rate request information on the top left-hand side of the homepage and land on the rate and loan product search results page.
