BitDefender Antivirus Plus 2012 Experience:
This program stands out in a crowd from the moment you start installing it. The first thing you will notice is that the registration key is both short and sweet. If you have ever struggled with a registration key that seems to take up two lines of text, you will know how important this is. The installation process moves smoothly along and the program will be ready to use in less time than you would expect. Registration requires nothing more than entering the registration key along with your email address. Wouldn’t it be nice if all products were this easy to register?
Once the program is fully downloaded, which should not take any longer than 10 minutes on a slow computer, you will see a console. This console is well designed and easy to use. If you find that it has features that won’t be used, you can customize it for your specific needs. If you choose to do an initial full scan, this can take an extended period of time, but the scan is very thorough and doesn’t need to be done very often.
This scan did find viruses that my old program missed which impressed me. The old program was recommended by a number of computer experts who were all surprised to find that this software caught threats that their recommendations did not. Best of all, the regular scans using the BitDefender Plus do not seem to affect the performance of my computer at all!
There are a few problems with this software. Antispam, parental controls and file encryption are not included in this program. If you are looking for these items, you will need to search elsewhere. Additionally, you will need a separate firewall.

When you go to contact customer service, the first option you are given is a form where you can e-mail the company. Your registration key must be entered so if you have questions about the product before purchase this option will not work for you. Chat is also available, but this will require that you log in to your account. The same is true if you wish to obtain telephone support. A forum is available which you may browse as a guest and this is the easiest option to choose.
