Finally Some Good News on Wall Street

Citigroup announced today that they operated at a profit for the first two months of this year and Wall Street rallied behind the news. Shares in Citigroup jumped almost 25% and the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose over 250 points. Several other banking stocks also saw increases on the heel of this news. Since financial stocks have been one of the key factors in the market's collapse, this is certainly good news.

Is this signs of a turn around? Not sure if we can say that with any confidence right now. Regardless, it is nice to see some positive news coming out of the financial sector. More importantly, it is uplifting to see a postive market reaction. Let's hope the rally continues!
