We must admit, we don't exactly have green thumbs here at StarReviews. It’s only human to forget to water the plant every day (ok maybe every week), but we manage to keep the plants alive – just not thriving. That is where the Aqua Globe comes in! When we saw this as seen on TV product we just knew we had to put it to the test.
The Aqua Globe is a simple design – a nice looking glass globe that you fill with water and when the plant's soil dries and releases oxygen the Aqua Globe responds by releasing water back into the soil. It should hold water for about 2 weeks time and then you won't have to worry about your plant ever being under or over watered. Sounds simple enough we thought, so we picked up a pair of Aqua Globes and tested them.
First impressions were that the globes were pretty nice looking and seemed to be well constructed with some decent thickness of the glass so we weren’t worried about them being too fragile. We filled the Aqua Globe and inserted it in our soil and we checked back to make sure it was releasing water over the course of our 2 week trial period. It sure was, we marked the Aqua Globe with marker to show the water levels and sure enough they were dropping. It took about 2 weeks to empty the Aqua Globe completely and the soil seemed moist and the plant was looking healthy again! The Aqua Globe is a hit, we here at StarReviews give it 5 out of 6 Stars, only because now we have to remember to fill the Aqua Globe every 2 weeks… a task that should be easy enough for us to handle.
